Kids In Need Charity Public Auction in February

Dear Sponsors and Friends of Tuggeranong Community Festival

The Tuggeranong Community Festival (the Festival) wishes ACT and regional community groups a Happy New Year filled with success and good health.

The Festival has joined with Retailers of the Tuggeranong Hyperdome, The Hyperdome Centre Management, L J Hooker Tuggeranong, the Good Guys Tuggeranong and the Vikings Group to raise funds to support the important work undertaken by our local community group, the Richmond Fellowship.

The general public is invited to attend on Saturday 15 February 2014 at the Centre Court Tuggeranong Hyperdome. The public auction starts at 11 am and will end at 1.00pm. All products, goods and services to be auctioned have been kindly donated by local businesses and clubs.

Other Canberra businesses, clubs, community groups or individuals are most welcome to donate products and/or services for the auction. All who donate will be acknowledged and featured on our website throughout 2014 as a “Contributor for Kids in Need”.

The Richmond Foundation is a worldwide community service organisation focusing on mental health issues in the community (  Through the Foundation’s Fellowship here in the ACT, it is the first in the world to focus on youth at risk (eg mental issues such as schizophrenia), physical, sexual and psychological abuse including homelessness and drug and alcohol dependence.

Unfortunately, here in Tuggeranong, and elsewhere in the ACT, there are many, many youths, as young as 12 and 13 years, that are at serious risk each day.

This is our opportunity as a community to unite with local business and address these issues head-on and do something positive, sustainable and life changing. Click here for further details about the auction and the Richmond Fellowship.
